"Hurtful treatment"
1- Today is the 4th installation appointment Empire missed. Every time they did that I had to take a day off from work :( you can imagine how this affected my job and I still don't have the carpet.
2- They came once and they've put in wood rods with nails coming out (to hold the padding). Since they still haven't done the installation for the padding yet, the nails are still sticking out and it is a complete safety hazard. I have a baby nephew and I am totally worried that he will crawl onto one of those nails.
3- The appointment timeslot they give are terrible. They tell give you a full day timeslot and you get booked all day. On all 4 appointments that were cancelled, I asked them to narrow down this timeslot and it never happened.

"Carpet Runner"
We bought and paid for new carpet in our dining room which was installed
with no problem however... A runner was also ordered and pd for. We were
told that the runner would have to be bound all the way around and would
take approx 10 days to get done. At that point, the runner would be
delivered. To date after much spinning, excuses and what appears to be
outright lies from the sales rep as well as management, the runner was
to be delivered today 4/12/17 and it never happened. I thought this
company was much better than this and I have decided that in spite of
the fact that we have 2 more big rooms to carpet, Empire will not be
given a chance for that business.

"Horrible quality, pushy sales tactic"
I don't understand how this company keeps getting away with their sales
tactics. They are very nice at first, act like they are out for your
best interests, but in reality, they just want the sale and they will
push you until you agree to buy. They tell you that the price is only
good for the day, yet the sale advertised is good for over a month!
Then if you actually don't agree to the purchase, they call their
manager, pretend to get you a better price, you still don't agree? Now
they finally leave and you get an email the next few days offering an
even lower price! All this and the carpet is not name brand, no way to
compare to other carpet stores, no way to even know if the specs are
correct, the specs seem wrong just by appearance and feel compared to
other carpet with similar specs. Would never even call this company
again, don't waste your time with them.

"Unhappy customer"
I would like people know what I went thru with the sales person and
also with customer service when dealing with Empire. My wife and were
going to have new floor coverings after almost 30yrs. But what we have
now looks about what we took out. It started about two years ago in
February with the sales person. He came to the house and we talked
about carpet and vinyl flooring. He told me that the installer would
remove and dispose of my old carpet and take care of any stains. This
turned out to be lie number one. Then we picked out are vinyl flooring
he went on to tell us that the installer would remove the old linoleum.
This was lie number two. When the installers came over they were
unhappy that I did not have the carpet removed. When I told him that
they were to remove it they replied that they had no instructions to do
so and that they do not remove carpet let alone dispose of it. They
could not get a hold of the sales person but they went ahead and
removed the carpet. When I asked about taking care of stains they said
absolutely not. They went a head and installed the carpet. Then it came
to the vinyl floor I said that they were to pull up the old floor they
said there were know instructions to do so nor could they. They needed
to put down sup floor and then the vinyl flooring. I had to give them a
ride to the lumber yard to pick up some sup flooring as they did not
have any. They put down the vinyl and the transition from the carpet was
about 3/4" high with there carpet edge. They had to leave that tell
they went to Menards to get a different edge strip. When they left
after day one I had such a mess. When my wife came home she notice that
the vinyl was not the one we picked put it looked good so we did not
have them replace it.The following day the installer came back and
installed the carpet edge strip. A representative from Empire came out
and apologized. They compensated me 300.00 off my bill. At this time I
was done.I Had my carpet clean from Zerorez. I went about four mounts
longer then I was supposed to and after they were done the carpet still
looked broken down it was not fluffy like where the less traffic areas.
I paid the 75.00 for Empire to come out and they took samples checked
my vacuum cleaner. The person from Empire told me that Zerorez was not
good way to clean the carpet that you need a hot water injection like
Stanley Steamer. Empire would not even send in the sample's stating
that I was over the allotted time to have it cleaned. I talked to a
Mike in customer service and he said he would send in the sample.I
Called back some time later and he said that Phoenix carpet denied my
claim and that he would check and see if Empire could help me out.
Months have gone by and I called and tried ti reach Mike but could not.
The lady I did get in touch with said that if the manufacture will not
warranty the carpet that Empire can not do anything. I said to the lady
so Mike lied to me about seeing if Empire can help me and she replied
no and I sad well if you said there is nothing Empire can do and Mike
said he will check to see if Empire can help what do you call that. I
hope this helps some one so they don't go thru what I did. What I
learned is to keep your business local. I tried to save money with
Empire but it did not work I will be ripping up my carpet and have
Carpeting by Mike from Somerset will install it.

"Installation of Empire Carpet and Hardwood"
Todd Rideman (617) 834-6729, was amazing! So helpful and informative. We
love our new carpets, hardwood flooring and laminate, as well. The
installers were totally professional. We only have superlatives for
Empire. We will pass on our great reviews to our friends. Word of mouth
is the best form of advertising. Thanks again to Todd Rideman!

"One Clean Carpet"
I just wanted to say the couple of men that came into my house to do this work and installed my carpet was some of the hardest working folks I have had the pleasure to hire. They were so into their work and paid attention to every single detail. I've had this carpet for about 6 monthes now. I like it because every time you see it, it makes me think that I'm walking into a brand new home. It gets a lot of compliments for the new people that walk into the house. There isn't much I don't like about it. I mean, it's big but that's not a reason to dislike it. I never had to do repair, it's brand new and it'll be there for a while. I am definately looking for more from this company. I would recommend this product to someone in a heart beat. If they think it looks good in my house, imagine how good it would look in theirs.

"My New Carpet Story"
I recently got new carpeting, in February of this year. We had planned to put wood floors in our house, however after ripping up the old carpet we found that the floors underneath were severely damaged. I really like my carpeting, I just wish I had got it in a darker color. It is supposedly scotch guarded, but I don't notice a great difference in stain resistance. However, anything is better then the last carpet I had. I would buy the same brand again, its great quality and was affordable. I would just purchase the carpet in a darker color, as I have animals, and they like to make a mess. I would defenitely recommend Empire's carpet to a friend. They had wonderful customer service, and the entire job took about 3 hours. It was a 1200sqft. area, and I thought this was pretty fast. I love my new carpet, I love how plush and soft it is. Its hard to keep up with, but its done wonders to the appearance of my house.
