"Floor unstable and cupped"
Installed 5 1/2 inch Hickory flooring from Lumber Liquidators and is has cupped and they said it is a moisture problem. I had an oak floor without a vapor barrier for 30 years with no problem. It appears to me that the flooring wasn't properly dried out when purchased. I told them I would absorb the cost of the installation but wanted the flooring replaced. Hopefully I don't want to sue but am willing to take them to court if needed. I read reviews about Lumber Liquidators prior to purchase and they were not favorable, I should have heeded the warning.

"Beautiful Floors and Great Install"
Lumber Liquidators sales and installers did a great job. Very happy with our floors and Virginia Mill Hand scraped Engineered flooring product. Boards straight and good quality and very little waste. Floor have beautiful color, a lot of grain variation and natural look. We had it glued down and would recommend same to others. 1200 SQ FT installed.

"Mixed"
August of 2017: We purchased and installed hand scraped medium colored wood because of it's beautiful color variations for our new four season room which we decorated with antiques. This was my husbands first wood floor installation, it looks beautiful. The boards went in without much difficulty. Several pieces out of the boxes were unusable because of large knots. There are a couple of gaps but for the most part it looks great. Like any wood floor some dust is visible and we have 2 dogs: 1 large long haired, one small short haired so I give it a good weekly swipe or more as needed. I use an old fashioned dust mop which works the best. Anything other than dust is cleaned with the extra dust mop head and Murphy's oil soap which I have used for over forty years. I would buy this flooring again with the option to return unused or damaged boards.

"Finish comes off, chipping"
I had flooring installed in March of 2017. Within a week, we had chips from kids dropping toys (2 and 4 year old dropping plastic toys). Also, the installer had some tape on the floor and took off the finish when removed. Since then, I have talked to lumber liquidators, and it has been almost a year, and they say this is normal wear. Also since then, we have had my 4 year old push a toy across the floor and remove a 10 foot long strip of finish, and painter's tape take off finish (was there less than a day). Still trying to deal with lumber liquidators, but my 20 year old floor has less wear than this floor in less than a year. This finish should be more durable since it was pre-finished, but it is not. I dont know what we are getting for $6/ft, but it sure is not quality.

"Huge Gaps and cracks one month after install"
We just installed this Virginia Mill Works Solid 3/4 Hand Scraped Acacia. Our contractor has been installing wood floors for 30 years, it is all he does. He glued and nailed it down like crazy. There was one area he couldn't get the boards together so he caulked in-between the gap. He said this wood was very difficult to get together because the tongue and groove was very poor quality and hard to get together.
After one month my areas around my entire house(1800 sq ft) began to gap and crack. Not just high traffic areas. Corners, hallway, master, master closet, even my son's room which we had not moved back into yet. The caulking done(above) even began to crack because the wood began to pull away from this.
We are in Oregon, install was in beginning Nov. We had the wood in the house for 3-4 weeks prior to install. This is NOT seasonal gapping. This is green wood not dried properly.
I have sent pictures to Lumber Liquidators and I am hopeful they will respond appropriately.
I wish I knew how to attach a photo. Gaps are at least the width of a quarter and in some areas a nickel. In most areas you could put a quarter and a dime.

"This is the worst product I have ever seen"
The 1 st box I opened had filler in each board, about 85% of the box. Lumber liquidators would not take it back because I opened it. Pretty wood but defect rate is unreal.

"Love the product but need more!"
Love the Richmond Plank Birch handscraped engineered flooring. I have it in all rooms of my house except for spare bedroom. Wears great and easy to clean. I want to add it in the spare bedroom but I can't find it anywhere. Only a 10 x 12 room. Sooo disappointed :(

"Stay away!"
The boards were cut terribly. At least 2 boards in each box were damaged to the point where I could lift the polyurethane coating with my fingernail. I am being told by Lumber Liquidators that this is how it is beveled. Sending this garbage right back to them, what a joke. Do not order this product!

"Extremely disappointed."
We bought our flooring at lumber liquidators and that part of it was fine. I installed it myself according to the instructions for this flooring and stapled it down. I'm a contractor so I've installed many floors and this is by far the worst flooring I've put in. It is a very nice looking flooring, but now after having it in for 1 1/2 months, it squeaks so much when walking on it that its way past acceptable and it seems to get worse each day. I've tried graphite in the joints between boards with no satisfaction. I'm afraid I'll have to screw down going through the face of the board hoping to get rid of the noise. At close to $4/ sf this should be a much more acceptable and reliable product. Really disappointed in the product. Do not buy.

"Worst Product Imaginable"
We made the mistake of shopping Lumber Liquidators for engineered
hardwood flooring in early November, 2016 and selected the Gunstock
engineered floor manufactured by Virginia Mill Works. We like the
appearance of the samples provided and ordered 35 boxes to cover 885 sq.
Ft. In our house. When Lumber Liquidators installers finally started the
installation after a 3-week delay, we discovered an abnormally high
amount of manufacturing defect in the flooring. Essentially, I had to
have Lumber Liquidators bring in another 10 cases of the product just to
get the job done. In summary, approximately 25% of the boards were
defective in some manner and could not be used. The vast majority of the
defects I would estimated 85%) were because of splits in the wood. Most
of these splits were on the ends and it was obvious the splits were
present when the flooring was stained and finished since stain could be
seen inside the split. In one instance, a large split had been circled
with a grease pencil (I presume at the factory during their abysmal
inspection process) but was still packed into a box for shipment to a
customer. The remainder of the problems with the flooring included open
knots through which you could see the plywood substrate underneath,
damaged finishes, significant discoloration in the finish or damaged
corners. I personally had to go through each box (45 in all) twice and
sort out the bad boards from the good boards. Since the floor has just
been laid, it looks good now but I am truly worried about how well it
will hold up in the future. If you are looking for expensive kindling
for your fireplace or stove, I would highly recommend this junk;
however, if you're looking for a quality engineered flooring product,
run as fast as you can from Virginia Mills and Lumber Liquidators
because this stuff isn't worth anything. I only wish I had done a better
job of researching Virginia Mills engineered floors before I spent
thousands of dollars on a truly inferior product. Clearly the next, I'll
be working with a lumber yard for flooring.
