Bellawood is a manufacturer of hardwood floors for residential and commercial properties. The Bellawood protective finish was the first in the industry to be backed by a 50-year warranty, and now, a 100-year transferable warranty. Bellawood is headquartered in Toano, Virginia near Williamsburg and is a subsidary of Lumber Liquidators. It has been featured nationwide on many home improvement TV shows and is endorsed by Bob Vila.
Bellawood offers a wide variety of hardwood flooring, including 25 different domestic and exotic wood species. Bellawood flooring is made from the following types of domestic woods:
Bellawood was founded in 1996 by Thomas Sullivan, a renovator and contractor. Three years prior, in 1993, Mr. Sullivan started Lumber Liquidators which is now the largest retailer of wood flooring in the United States. In 1999, Bellawood built a new flooring facility in Colonial Heights, VA and again expanded into its current state-of-the-art facility in Toano, VA.
Bellawood's flooring has been featured on many popular television programs including the DIY Network, Discovery's Christopher Lowell Show, TLC's While You Were Out, HGTV Dream Home Giveaway, and PBS's This Old House.
Bellawood prides itself on its 100-year certified warranty. This warranty covers finish wear from normal household usage. For commercial usage, the warranty lasts 5 years. Bellawood floors are also warranted against defects.
Not only does this warranty last a century, but you can transfer it to the new owners when, and if, you sell your home. You must register your flooring purchase and provide the original Bellawood Certificate to the new owner.
