"Horrible carpet - Do not buy"
This has to be the worst carpet I have ever bought. I experienced the same thing as another reviewer. This carpet is just over 2 years old and looks worse than the carpet I replaced which was 15 years old. The way this carpet wore was not to be believed as the quality is very, very substandard. Just because Martha put her name on it is no indication of quality. The carpet is matted and appears dingy all the time, even after vacuuming. Forget the "warranty". It is worthless. The manufacturer will come up with the most minute qualifiers that you could not possible comply with nor prove. Further, I never even got a warranty when I purchased it so I had no idea what was going to be needed 2 years later. In fact, when I went back to Home Depot a few weeks ago I discovered they don't even carry the carpet anymore and don't have it in their computers. In other words HD was not help at all. The installer worked hard and did a good job. My problem is with the quality of the carpet and the inability to get any satisfaction from the manufacturer or Home Depot. I would have even taken a credit towards the purchase of another type of carpet, but Nothing. I only wish I had seen these other reviews before I bought Martha's crappy carpet.

"Low quality"
Wish I had read some of these reviews before I had Martha Stewart Lindenwald (Wild Turkey) carpet installed. Even before I'd had it 2 years, it looked worse than the carpet that I replaced which I'd had for almost 15 years. I can't believe how badly this carpet has worn. I bought this carpet through Home Depot and used their installer. I didn't have a problem with the fellow who installed the carpet - he worked real hard and did a good job. I have a real problem with the quality of the carpet and will never, never, never buy a Martha Stewart product again. I've been looking to replace this carpet and have been told to check about the warranty. However, I was of the opinion that it would be a swearing match with the manufacturer - they think there's nothing wrong with the carpet and I think it looks like crap. After reading a couple of these reviews, I probably will just bite the bullet and let it go because I can't see getting satisfaction and only getting upset. Absolutely do not recommend at all.

"Worst carpet"
I agree with all the other reviews. We have had this carpet less than 2 years, it looks like it is 10 years old. I complained to Home Depot, they sent out an inspector. Shaw denied the claim. They said I didn't vacuum enough( 2 times a day is what the warranty claims you should vacuum), I had the wrong vacuum and that I used the wrong cleaning company. I used the Home Depot extended maintenance to clean the carpet. So the warranty was voided by what Home Depot had sold me. I will say that after our deny, I went to Home Depot and they said they would replace the carpet.

"poor quality"
I purchase ms textured carpet from Home Depot. I loved the way it looked at first....that is why I bought it. Within 4 months it looked matted in the walk way. Ok it is the walk way but it gets very little traffic and I have carpet 7 years old that doesn't look that bad. The entire room(except for under furniture) after a year looks like it is 3-4 years old. Not a testured carpet at all. I filed a complaint thru Home Depot. Now I have no complaints with Home Depot. Shaw carpet asked if I could send pictures which I did. Their reply was that it was normal wear and I needed to get it steamed cleaned. So I have to pay to have a 9 month old carpet professionally cleaned. Really? I wrote them and asked how can they turn down my claim based on pictures, they didn't even bother to send an inspector out? Their answer.... Based on the size of the carpet I bought it was not cost effective for them to send out a real person. What if it truly is a bad lot? How would they know, they wouldn't even look at it. I guess if my room had been a lot bigger I might have been a more valuable consumer. Shaw does not stand behind their products. Thoroughly disgusted with it all. Its not so easy to go out and buy another room of carpet to get something I'm happy with. I will never buy that brand again and am one day going to get it replaced and put it in a small bedroom in my rental. Not good enough for a living room. I can get better carpet for what I spent for this one.

"The lowest quality carpet that you can buy"
This carpet was installed throughout our house in both low traffic areas and high traffic areas. Within three weeks there were signs of wear patterns in the higher traffic areas and by the time we had the carpet for 4 months the carpet was matted down and looked worn out everywhere. Another problem with this carpet is that it stains and discolors very easily. We have had this carpet for a year and it has a dozen stains on it, any liquid will stain this carpet even water. The warranties for both stains and wear are worthless.

"Pay no attention to warranty, you will never be able to use it"
Carpet is less than 1 year old and I expect it will be replaced very soon. We purchased it because of the stain warranty/guarantee, but have realized that it is solely a marketing trick and you will never be able to use it. That is unless it is "professionally cleaned" every 6 months, vacuumed by you daily, and you never walk on it or spill anything on it (all of which you will need to prove). None of these requirements will be mentioned during the purchasing process. About 4oz of ginger ale spilled on it, carpet is a light tan with a 2 ft circle dark stain. Here is how it went, we call Home Depot who says we need to have carpet cleaned. We do($100), looks good for 3 days, stain comes back. Home Depot sends out a clown to assess the stain, a week later they call with the warranty denial. Reason: because it went away for a few days it is not a stain, it was poor cleaning, B.S.. Opinion: do not buy this, buy one for less money, it will look and wear as good and you don't have a false sense of security. I can deal with poor quality as long as I know it and that is what I pay for. What I can't deal with is absolute marketing lies, fine print and technicalities.

"Don't wate your money"
Carpet was put in Dec. 23 2011. In just two months the carpet looks old. Where we walk looks just awful. Here it is May and I will need to call Home Depot. This carpet was not cheap and I had the best padding installed. Had Home Depot put top of the line carpet and padding in my basement. The carpet is peeling. Carpet is on;y two years old. I called Home Depot and they told me since I didn't have my carpet cleaned in one year and kept the receipt I was out of luck. My carpet was never cleaned and still isn't dirty. I am out $2,400.00 in basement and scared they won't do a thing for this 5 month old carpet here in my family room. I should have had wood floors installed.

"Very poor carpet"
I bought martha Stewart carpet for my new home, and put it throughout. We have two guest bedrooms that we do not use, and the other other rooms that we do use look like they have been used for many, many years. The carpet is only 10 years old. Liquid was not supposed to leak down through the carpet but sit on top of the carpet. Our oldest dog had congestive heart failure and was put on a diaretic and the one time we did not catch her in time her urine went right down through the carpet. The carpet is tilled soil which is a light brownish color. Well the spot where she urinated bleached somewhat and turned the carpet in that spot a redish color. The carpet in our den is also Martha stewart, snail shell, we hardly use the den but it also looks old and faded. Very unhappy.

"DO NOT BUY - WORST CARPET EVER!!!!!!"
Shaw is absolutely the worst company that I have ever dealt with. The carpet is 1 year old and looks 10 years old. I bought the top of the line product. Shaw had an inspection made and gave all kinds of excuses and loopholes to get out of the warranty. They will not admit their carpet is cheap and defective. 3 hours after vacuuming, it looks like it has not been vacuumed for 5 days. I have older carpet, same type, in high traffic areas that is 5 years old and it looks brand new even on the steps and I can clean it with bleach. Home depot will not stand behind it either. This carpet is very cheap quality. Why do you think only Home Depot sells it exclusively. Total rip off. Do not be fooled by the few shaw reps that post here, like the carpet is good. You have been warned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
