"I love this flooring"
If this flooring is installed right it will last forever. I installed this flooring over 2 years ago. I installed it with a professional nail gun using 2" cleats and it's it looks like it is brand new.

"Hardwood dissatisfied"
I just wanted to warn any one thinking of getting there floors from Mernards. I bought super fast hardwood and couldn't be more dissatisfied. I have cracked peices everywhere. It pops and moves up to a half inch. And when we called them they payed a flooring inspector to come look at it. He said that it was there flooring splitting. Said they would fix the 12 peices that broken an split. Only to get a letter back saying they denied the claim. Floors only 3 months old. Will not buy anything from Mernards ever again.

"Tarket Laminate"
The rep at Menards should have warned me about the laminate flooring I purchased. I bought my flooring at Menards. Its was Tarket oak laminate its has damage everywhere from minor spills after just 12 months (I might add were wiped up immediately). If I had known this stuff was like paper and so little moisture would lift it up and damage it I would have gone with another flooring. The person that sold it to me $1500 did not mention anything about it and did not offer a water proof alternative. I'm pissed and if anyone out there has a class action law suit going I'm in!

"Don't go by manufacturer's install instructions"
I would give this flooring five stars if it weren't for the shrinkage that occurs. We've had this flooring for almost five years. Installation is easy, floor is quiet (used quiet underlayment), floor is holding up well except for when you drop a screw driver or other sharp heavy objects. We love the look of the floor, but now we need to replace all our molding to get something thicker as we have a large gap all around the perimeter (note: we also have quarter-round installed!). Mfr says to leave a 5/8" gap during install with wood at room temperature. Don't do that! You don't need that large of a gap. I will say there is more shrinkage width-wise, then there is length-wise for the boards. I put in a riser floor trim from next room and there is a half-inch gap now as the riser doesn't attach to the boards and is fastened to the floor. The rest of the floor is free-floating. I don't know how the one person had any buckling unless they have a different product altogether.

Review:
"Looks good easy to install"
The flooring is real wood sizes do vary patterns are all different and color does vary. The flooring was easy to install. We were a little worried about other reviews we saw that the product would shrink, which is normal with real wood. To minimize this we used liquid nails to glue each piece to the subfloor along with a few brad nails on the tongue to hold in place while glue set. So far we haven't seen any abnormal scratches from dog nails or normal use.

"Not a quality product"
We purchased over 2000sq ft of this product to install throughout our entire home. It has only been in our home less than three years and the boards are cracking length wise the entire length of the board and the product dents very easily. Custom Surface, which has the warranty on the product, does not stand behind the product at all! If you like bamboo as much as I do, find a different brand.

"Excellent floor at a great price"
He had a Timber Ridge Hickory floor installed in a high traffic hallway. The materials were purchased at Menards. We are very happy with this floor. It looks great, and despite being walked on all the time, and having dogs running over it, it looks great!
