"Scratches Easily"
Home Legend misrepresented the durability of this flooring stating "real wood planks that are engineered to handle the toughest traffic" and displaying pictures of dog paws and a stiletto heel on the face of the box. It is not scratch resistant at all. They mislead consumers to believe the flooring is 100% waterproof, dent resistant and scratch resistant but the warranty does not cover claims for water damage, scratches or dents.

"Traps moisture between bottom of plank, rots subfloor!"
The flooring looks pretty but this water resistant flooring actually traps moisture between the bottom of the planks and subfloor and will rot your subfloors. Company tried saying its due to a moisture problem under my house; under my house is dry as a bone. Contractor has replaced subfloors in several homes due to this same issue. It's directly between the planks and subfloor and rotted the subfloor from top down. Being waterproof, it can't breathe. The moisture builds under the planks and seeps into the subfloors, rotting them away over time. Do not buy this flooring!

"Wrong Item - They don't Care!"
Today I spoke with the supervisor Gabby and it was an absolute waste of my time. I explained to her that they sent the wrong item for my flooring project and she could careless! I paid them $3,000 for an order that was wrong! Now, I have to pay my contractor more money and be inconvenienced because he cant complete the job because Home Legend failed to make sure that what I paid for was actually shipped to me! If Gabby is the Supervisor why did she not do her job and resolve my issue. They screwed up and now they are failing to own the mistake! They sent the wrong stair-nose and my job can not be completed on time! They don't care that I have an unfinished project and its no fault of my own. Where is the integrity of good faith business? Never a word of an apology or empathy for what Im experiencing! I hate Home Legand!

"Junk"
I wish there was a -5 for the rating. Floor was defective from the beginning. Warped in every direction. Unfortunately, we did not really discover the impact until after was laid the breakfast/kitchen area and small hallway bathroom. Many pieces would not "click" together because of the boards being warped. We thought if we laid it and let it "rest" that the pieces would click. They did not. We ended up taking up the entire floor. We boxed up the uncut pieces but unfortunately had thrown away some of the boxes. Home Depot gave us our money back on 13 of the 21 boxes. I want the rest of the money back. I am NOT QC for this company. Made in China to boot!

"Tile swelling by the front entrance of my house"
One year ago, the hardwood floor was Install by a contractor approx 10x10. The main entrance of my house about 6x6, it appears that the upper layer of the hardwood is separating from the center. I have pictures if needed. I will need 1 box maybe 32 tiles to fix my problem. Awaiting your decisions V/R Enrique Ponce

"Bad experience"
Floors started to buckle/warp and separate after 3 years of the installation. Home Depot did not honor their warranty and neither did Home Legend. Home Legend concluded that is was a bad installation by Home Depot. Home Depot concluded that it was not , period. We had to replace floors at our own cost. Will highly caution not to use Home depot for any installations and not purchase any products from Home Legend.

"Expects installers to warranty problems they themselves won't"
Installed this floor as per installation instructions. Floors made noise unsatisfactory to customer and upon consumer request manufacturer sent inspector out. Report listed 20+ possible reasons floor could make noise, but could not give a definitive cause for the noise. Some of the reasons listed included things that had nothing to do with install at all, such as how humid the house is kept. The customers house humidity at the time of inspection was above the range of recommendations for humidity, yet inspector deemed the problem an installation problem. Upon further reading I found the warranty on this product. Warranty clearly states that one of the exclusions from warranty coverage is "intermittent noises including, but not limited to squeaks, popping, etc.". Why should an install company be held to warranty something the manufacturer themselves will not that is a known defect in the product? Spoke to someone at Home Legend and was told that the noises are a phenomenon with laminate flooring, which a google search backs up with complaint upon complaint indicating this very thing. I spoke with other inspectors who advised that if the problem was an install problem then the report should give a definitive reason as to what was done improperly. Not the vague list of possible reasons that clearly were not found. Our company will never recommend or install this product. Also worthy of noting that Home Depot does not stand behind the manufacturers warranty of products they sell. They refer you to the manufacturer. Which judging by the reflection of one star reviews, is worthless.

"Flooring Is like a Mood Ring and Yellows and Browns Instead of the Whit Pine Look! Horrible!"
Had flooring america in wyoming michigan install entire main floor of our house with this shottie product they sold me. Several years later ; Am so sorry I ever installed such a low quality product that neither flooring america will stand by or the company itself. The white wood look turned brown and is yellowing everywhere. Apparently we were not supposed to put any rugs on it with rubber backing. What other kind o=f rus are there if you dont want to slip n fall? No one ever told us of this and there is no disclaimer on the boxes that say that. Besides the poor uneven and bubly installation; The planks were cut too short and huge gaps are in the middle of the floor. Never again! Not with this company and any cheap laminate ; Let alone flooring america and home legend. I too would join a class action so contact me.Dont waste your money and get real hdwd flooring!
