Review:
"Floor will be noisy if subflooring is not flat"
I installed this floor 10 years ago in two locations. In one room I installed 3/8 plywood over the existing tongue in groove subfloor. In another room I installed directly over the tongue and groove subfloor. This was done to create an even floor level to other connecting floors at door openings. The floor installed directly over the old subfloor without the added plywood base in noisy. It pops and snaps like rice crispies. Let this be a warning when installing engineered flooring. The boards sound like they are rubbing together and creating the noise. I believe this is due to the lack of flatness in the subfloor creating space for the floor to flex. The other room is quiet. My mistake. The floors in both rooms are still looking great and have held up well.

Review:
"I am so pleased with my Thomasville flooring that i am ready to do to my living and dining room."
About four years ago I had Jatoba Engineered hard wood flooring installed in my kitchen and family room which run together. I am happy and pleased to say that my flooring looks as good today as it looked when it was first installed. I cannot tell you how many positive complements that I have had and continue to get in reference to the flooring it is the best place in my home to entertain. The only problem that I have is that I would like to complete the living and dining rooms in the same flooring but Home Depot no longer carries the product and I cannot get in touch with the manufacture to give me alternative place that I can buy the flooring. Please help.

"Full of scratches"
We bought this and within a couple weeks the entire floor was covered with scratches. Very soft and not a good choice for flooring. I was going to extend the flooring from the living room to the kitchen but I will go with another brand. My husband couldn't even find it at Home Depot any more. Not surprised. At least the living room looks uniform because the scratches are consistent throughout all of the wood.

"Terrible Terrible Terrible"
Does not wear well. Deep indents on a room that is hardly used. Would never buy again. Never was more unhappy with a product in the 47 years of marriage. (P.S. Pads were on the table and chairs). Floor is too soft.

"engineered pecan interlocking flooring"
This product is poorly manufactured and sounds like rice kripsies snap, crackle and pop when you walk on it even with the sound barrier. Laminates are notorious for this but you do expect a true engineered wood floor not to be so noisy, especially when you are paying more for it. My laminate floors are quieter and of better quality for half the cost.

"Looks nice, poor quality"
I've read the other reviews and totally agree. The only way you should use this flooring is if you live alone, never move furniture, and no one comes to visit. I have the pecan laminate and while installation was easy, the maintenance is very high. Slightest move of furniture will scratch the surface and one drop of water on it is an eyesore. I have had to cover the floor with area rugs to try and protect it from further damage...worst laminate i've seen.

"Jatoba hardwood"
This flooring is extremely difficult to keep clean. It shows every foot print. I clean it daily and it still looks terrible. I am very disappointed in Thomasville

Review:
"horrible flooring"
I purchased Thomasville engineered wood flooring two years ago. My floors now look like they are 20 years old. This flooring scratchs extremely easily, and is very hard to clean. I have followed the cleaning instructions but I still have smudges and dulling. Thomasville's customer service is of no help. They are more concerned with placing all blame on me than on even considering there may be a problem with the floor. Unless you plan on placing this floor in an area where no one can walk on it, don't buy it!

"Thomasville wood floors are horrible"
I have a Thomasville brazilian cherry wood floor. The finish shows smudges and marks and I cannot get it to look decent and there are hairline cracks throughout. I contacted Thomasville several times but they offered no help. Stay away. There are much better products on the market.

"Wood flooring isnt as expensive as I thought!!"
I was doing a renovation project on my kitchen floor. See, the tiles that came with track house 5 years ago where not impressive anymore. I'd seen a friends house that had wood floors and stole the idea. Checking out different brands I went with Thomasville because they carried the perfect darker mahogany finish that went well with my cabinets already in place. Also its the thicker 1/2 inch wooden slats which makes a difference in the look and quality of the new floor. Once the sales rep at home depot was telling how to take up old tiles, I figured I better let them do it because Id never done it before. The cost was much less than I thought and installing once the tile was gone, was absolutely astonishing how fast these interconnecting pieces are just put together. I think it looks great now, costs less than $1000 and I just clean with a steam mop and shines so well and easily. And I dont have to tell my friends about it because they askd me before I could enjoy my secret with them.
