Review:
"sub par quality"
I've used Virginia Mill Works flooring several times and it used to be an excellent product, but now barely touch it and it easily damaged. They definitely spent too much time on cost reductions and can no longer recommend using them - especially since not did they reduce their quality, but they have substantially raised their prices. Don't bother with them - go elsewhere

"Extremely Unsatisfied in Florida"
My son David and my husband made 3 phone calls to LL Flooring to ask if we needed underlayment on our concrete slab before installing your floors. They both were told NO. Over the past two years we have had black staining all over the floors and severe buckling. We are having the floors removed today and this is what was found. Black mold. I will be posting my photos on Facebook to warn prospective buyers. This is what we got for listening to your company. You sent a floor inspector on 6/6/2022. Your company concluded that you were not responsible for the problems. Shame on you!!! I sent the photos to LL Flooring today.

"It's all about the installation"
Installed this flooring (2000 sq ft) over a year ago, it's held up very well to dog and people traffic. You must have a vapor barrier or at a minimum a very low moisture content on the sub floor it is to be installed on, also you really do need to let it acclimate in the room it is to be installed. We live in a rain forest here in Juneau Alaska and have huge swings in humidity so far no problems. I would recommend this product!

"In desperate search"
Purchased and had solid wood floors in home. Wanting to complete floor project and extend wood floors to stairwell up into upstairs hallway but cannot find stock of original flooring we had installed downstairs. Desperate to find matching flooring. Was told by Lumber Liquidators the particular stock we are searching for is no longer in production. Please help!!!

"We Love Our Floor"
Out of an abundance of caution, I waited a year to write my review. The builder's crew struggled mightily with the installation of this floor. There were boards that were not square and/or were cupped. Lumber Liquidators provided additional materials to compensate for the defective boards. It took the installers a lot longer than it should have. They had to check each board to make sure corners were square, and glue each board in addition to nailing it, in order to stop some loud popping and creaking. The finished product is beautiful. A year later it is still beautiful and we still love it. The finish is extremely durable and resists scratches. I would give it a 5* for look and durability, but a 1* for the extra work and additional material required to achieve a quality installation.

"Beautiful floor, but can't believe it's Acacia"
The floor was easy to install and looks fantastic, but we did end up with several gaps through out the rooms we did. It's been installed for about 3 months now and we have more dents and scratches than we did in the 20 year old oak floor in our old house. I can't believe this is real Acacia, and if it's a different(soft) version of Acacia, people should be warned so they don't install it in heavily used rooms. Would not buy this again. Not sure I'd go to LL Flooring again either.

"Unfortunate"
Entire house was installed with this wood. Looked nice for a few months and then noticed flaking, gaps, cracks.... unfortunate since it wasn't cheap.

"Defective product"
In April of 2018 I purchased 1600 square feet of flooring. The natural Hickory. As we were installing, we had extreme issues with gapping and flaking. We discarded the flaking products as we noticed them, but struggled with the gaps and alignments. Finally after 2 days of professional installation, I began to identify certain flaws outside of standard flaws. The flooring itself varied in width up 3/32" from one end to the other, and some flooring was bowed from one end to the other, not in a cupping fashion, but if you put a straight edge on the edge of the board, there would be a gap in the middle or on the ends. After contacting customer care, they stonewalled and said I should have stopped installation (at 3/4 way finished and contacted them) They said I could not follow through because we had installed product. Their good will offering was a $500 store credit, which I informed them would not be used at any point due to poor product and customer service. Watch out when purchasing from certain stores. It is discount for a reason.

"Heartbroken in Texas"
I also installed the Tobacco road acacia engineered hardwood from Lumber Liquidators (Virginia Millworks). It was beautiful until several week after install it started buckling and cracking and separating all over the place and it's glued down. It scratches easily and I would never purchase this item again.

"Love the design"
We got a great price because someone had returned this flooring and they had just enough for our project. The wood is engineered in various fixed lengths and an assortment of each length is packed in each box. I measured my rooms wall to wall and using the assortment of lengths in the boxes I was able to get within one centimeter wall-to-wall just by choosing the right lengths, often without cutting but rarely cutting more than a centimeter. After putting down 900 square feet, I had a handful of small pieces left over. It goes together easily and looks great. Unlike the 3/4 red oak floor I laid before, this engineered wood is really easy. Natural distortion exists but is maybe 1/10 of a solid plank. Only complaint was the nailer they sold me. I have never used a floor nailer and didn't understand the adjustments for the built in nailing guides. Once I figured out the adjustments, I removed all the guides and it's a lot easier to simply eyeball the nailer. One caveat, you normally need 10-15% excess when installing flooring, but I'm going to end up with only 2 or 3% wastage on this, because of the varying size planks.
