"Save your money!"
I've had my tarkett flooring for about 6 months and I absolutely hate it. I decided on the brand and the color at the suggestion of my carpenter who said he had great results with it in other clients homes. We utilized it in the foyer and the dining room. With 4 children, having this flooring is an absolute nightmare. Its impossible to keep clean and requires daily maintenance - It has to be swept numerous times throughout the day which is fine. Using a dry mop doesn't work as the floor always looks dusty and smudged. Using a wet mop is also useless as the floor looks smeared and just never looks clean. Ive tried laminate flooring cleaner, plain water, and numerous other products, but nothing works! It chips and scuffs easily. Unless you're going to install it in a dimly lit room that no one uses, I suggest you save your money and look into other products!!

"Avoid This Flooring"
This product is substandard, yet pricy. The company is non responsive when there is a problem. IF you get them to admit the problem, then they treat you as substandard as their product. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company. My floor is less than 2 years old, no children, no dogs and the corners are already peeling up or raised. The flooring did not stay snapped together and would not hold the weight of a queen size bed. And more. The person who said it is hard to clean.. that is an understatement. It's impossible to clean.

"Tarkett Laminate Wood Flooring"
I have had my Turkett floors for over three years. With a child, a rough husband, a dog, and a cat, I wasn't sure how long the flooring would still look nice. I am pleasantly surprised that after three years, it still looks good. I like the flooring because it is durable and easy to clean. I also like it because it retains much less dirt than carpet and that is good for people with allergies. One of the things I don't like about the flooring is how it shows dirt, dust, etc. very easily. Our flooring is brown and we have a white haired dog, and after only a day or so, the floor needs to be swept again. This is not so much the flooring's fault, but rather the dog's! Another problem I have seen with the floor is a small amout of "bubbling" around the edges of some pieces. I believe this is due to a steam mop that we bought that said it was safe for laminate floors, but obviously wasn't. I have never had to repair or replace my flooring. If I did, I would consider buying the same brand. Overall, it seems like quality flooring and it's durability is a huge plus.

"Laminate flooring: yey or nay?"
The Tarkett website will try to convince you that their product is without a doubt "the ultimate flooring experience." We bought into that promise and decided to use Tarkett as a flooring solution for our downtown loft, decided which kind would best suit our style and furniture and purchased the product online. This was 4 years ago. What I liked about it was the first couple of weeks after we installed it, when it actually looked like the pictures you see on their site: shiny, beautiful, some wow factor. What I don't like about Tarkett was everything that followed after those honeymoon first couple of weeks: it scuffed easily, it was and still is hard to get clean, it does not hold up very well, it is nothing like they would have you believe. From everything I read about this product prior to buying it I came to the understanding that this is a floor that has a lifetime warranty, but the keyword I should have paid attention to was "limited" warranty. I would certainly not recommend this flooring option to a friend. Actually, a friend of mine installed the same product in his house and he is not pleased with it either. So Tarkett yey or nay? For sure nay!

"Laminate Wood Flooring with Pets and Children"
When I purchased my home two years ago, I decided to completely renovate the entire house including the floors. My family is skilled in home remodeling and a big fan of ceramic tile but I wanted something a little different for the bedrooms. My brother was also in the process of remodeling his floors and had gotten a wood laminate from Menards. The Tarkett laminate flooring seemed like a nice product so I decided to use the same thing. The pieces were relatively easy to put down and looked nice after we did the finish work. But now, two years later they are not holding up well. I have not repaired them because as they are a floating floor, they would be difficult to replace. Instead, in the last few months I have replaced one bedroom with a plastic laminate that looks like wood, feel s like wood and came in planks but is completely waterproof. The main problem I have with the Tarkett is that it does not hold up well to spills. I have a seven year old and three dogs. Spills come naturally in my house. I would not recommend this same product to anyone nor would I purchase it again. I am so happy with the Allure product I bought from The Home Depot; I intend to eventually replace the other two rooms with it.
