"Horrible warranty backing"
Purchase carpeting from Lowe's in 2016 with a 25 year warranty, replaced one room already because of wearing. Went to Lowe's to tell them about the other room after realizing there was a 25 yr. I opened up a claim with Lowes/Stainmaster. I provided photos and all the cleaning receipts. (Cleaning has to be done every 18 months). They came back with I needed to show cleaning in February of 2018. I had the carpet cleaned in June of 2018 (4 months different) and provided the receipt for that cleaning but because it was short by 4 months, they will not process the claim. Actually it was less than 4 months if you allow time for the order process and actual install. They could not provide the actual date of install even though third companies 3rd party did the install. Really I had the carpet cleaned in calendar year, just shy of 3 or 4 months. Asked to escalate to management and they said management is not customer facing. Guess Home Depot and another carpet company will be getting my future business. Poor customer service all the way around!

"Very Disappointed"
I ordered this carpet and waited several weeks for it. Was very anxious to have it installed. I am very frustrated to discover that all the nap has to go in one direction for it to appear uniform and the creme color I expected. When the fibers go in the opposite direction in some places (as it will do when you vacuum) the fibers are a much darker color and makes the carpet look dirty, like it needs a steam clean. I wish Carpet Exchange had educated me about checking the look of different fiber direction when I choose this carpet. You cannot tell from a 2x3 sample piece. I do not recommend Stainmaster Grand Lake.

"Stainmaster Customer Service"
I've owned rug 3 years, stains will not come out. I have it professionally cleaned per manufacturers recommendation yearly. I started to work with Stainmaster and retailer (Ballston Carpet & Tile) Ballston Carpet has sent their carpet cleaner and carpet professional to determine if something is wrong with carpet. This was determined that the carpet is faulty, they sent it onto Stainmaster to schedule another visit to look at carpet. It has been 6 months, and Stainmaster, (Joshua Bushbinder) is not returning my emails. This carpet is an embarassment., I cannot have company. It looks disgusting! The Stainmaster lifetime warranty is a scam. I will be contacting the Attorney General's office.

Not even the one star.
ordered carpet was installed in Nov 2020- wore down in my 3yr old daughter's room... with in 1 month
I have been calling since then to have it replaced or give my money back... Seems like they don't want to do either.
They do not return calls or emails. I think they have my caller ID blocked, 'cos if I call from a blocked # , they respond.
Supervisor seems to be MIA.
I hope somebody "higher up" sees this review and tries to figure out what's up with Joshua and Jonathan (@ eastern time)

"Lowes and Legacy"
Carpet delivered 4/29 and waited for Stainmaster Berber expert to installed 5/24 called during job as it was being installed wrong(expert?)found out its his first job at legacy. told just make a note of it. Lowes should fire Legacy for our carpet installation issues. Legacy has done everything not to take responsibility for its horrible work. called for a week demanded someone look at this job, guy shows up 5/29 sat night 5:30 to fix said cant, need new carpet, and tack asked for our money back 6/1 Legacy and Lowes ask us to look at different carpet easier to install they wanted to send the same guy really... now your just FFing with me. but then told 6/13 cant get carpet till july delay, delay, BS just give use a our money back. No return calls from Caroline, Vince, Cherri, or Legacy Corp. over the month, John Eason calls 6/19 after contacting Lowes Corp Office, but failed to show up 6/21 sent new guy to look . have ask for my money back 5 times delay,delay, BS. wish i could post pictures. Tack 3 wide in doorways, and along walls, with nails poking up, 4in away from base boards seams issues, spill proof underlayment not taped at the seams with water proof tape as printed on the Stainmaster pad,and some has no plastic spill barrier on it. pattern issues do not line up. report written 6/21 but as a customer i cant see it... more BS.. when and if ever this is resolved i will up date this post... Lowes, Legacy and Stainmaster read all the BBB, Yelp, and other complaints.. whish i had, Long time Lowes Business customer.

"Worse Carpet ever!"
We had it Carpet down for 2 years, one month after warranty went out if started buckling and waving all over any place you walk. One room we do not walk in it still looks good. No one uses this small room. Take my advice and don't buy any of this Carpet for large room applications. Lots of waves in it and attracts dirt. Pretty easy to clean, but who cares if you got monster waves all over your floors.

"Worst carpet ever"
Ordered from Lowe's, first carpeting had to be returned as there were big oil spots on it. After waiting months to get new order it was finally put in. ( the delay voided our warranty) The warranty starts at the time of purchase. There are 2 of us in the house, no pets. Had the living room,2 bedrooms and a hallway carpeted. Not cheap, as we ordered the better quality and the best padding we could buy. This carpeting is a little over 3 years old and is matted and spots appear where nothing has been spilled. Had it commercial cleaned and it didn't help with the compressed fibers. Emailed and called Invista. The "customer service" person says there is nothing they will do about this extremely poor quality carpeting. I waited a long time to be able to afford the best of the best and this is what I got- crap. I wish I could share a pic. Will never buy from Stainmaster or Lowe's.

"Worst carpet I have ever had"
I will be replacing my not quite 4 year old carpet in a couple weeks. The carpet started showing wear within months. I had it professionally cleaned hoping it would come back but that didn't help. After more cleanings with the same results. I contacted the store that I purchased it from. They said they would contact the rep. After 3 months of phone calls and promises, someone from the store came out and said it was dirty and the problem was the perimeter where it had gotten too wet from a cleaning. The problem was not the perimeter but the traffic areas. The carpet looked older than the carpet that was original to the home, over 20 years old. He again promised that he would get the rep out. Never heard from any rep and no satisfaction from the retailer. I'm not purchasing my replacement carpet from that retailer or that manufacturer.

"Wouldn't buy again"
Within far less than a year I noticed traffic wear on the carpet, it's just two people and in a bedroom, so no sneakers or heavy traffic in the room. I was shocked at how it could already have a worn walkway showing after months.
Now almost 2 years later I keep finding lose fibers and peices sticking up. When I bought the carpet I didn't wanna go cheap and have these kind of issues so I went with a medium priced and quality hoping it to last and look good for awhile However the carpet is equivalent to cheap quality carpet that I could have picked and saved a lot of money.
I would never buy this carpet again if I want something with quality to last and look good.
I can't say anything about stains because I bought a medium dark gray and haven't had stain issues or spills.
