Shaw

Ceramic and porcelain flooring tiles are relative newcomers to the Shaw Industries line of flooring which built its reputation on a broad variety of quality carpets. However, with the addition of hard flooring products, Shaw is a full-service flooring company.

Tile Lines

Shaw Industries manufactures 41 styles of ceramic tiles and 105 styles of porcelain tiles for floors, walls, and accents. These come in various sizes (12X12, 18X18, 12X24, and 3X12) and colors (beige, brown, gold, gray, green, terra cotta, white, and blue). One hundred and seventy nine styles of its tiles can be used as accents while 143 models are frost resistant for outside use in cold climates. The Matrix and Lava Collections imitate the textures of linen and leather for an unusual and durable design alternative. Contrasting, coordinating or accenting grout colors are available from Shaw Industries to present the tiles to their greatest effect.

Do It Yourself Resources

The company realizes that many homeowners like to undertake projects such as laying down a new floor on their own and so it provides instructions for the do it yourselfer. An installation checklist gives instructions and warns that "a little patience" will be needed to get the job done. Issues such as sub-floor preparation, floor layout, preparation of the tiles and the grouting are all explained. Those ready to undertake the tasks themselves are invited to download a complete installation manual on tile installation.

Warranty

Shaw Industries' limited warranty ensures that its first-quality ceramics and porcelain tiles are manufactured to meet or exceed the requirements of quality standards; are manufactured to last a lifetime with proper care and maintenance; and are free of defects in the quality of the product for one year from date of purchase. The warranty is valid for products used in residential applications only and for the original purchaser of the product.
