Review:
"Very matted and faded"
In less than one year carpet is very matted and faded/different color in higher usage area. Had carpet cleaned after one year - cleaner said he can't believe how worn the carpet was for one year old. Shaw been to see it - even the rep says there is a problem, but factory denying it. Going to take this one all the way as it now looks worse after one year in terms of wear, matting and fade than the 25 year old carpet we took out. Shaw warranties are worthless - I do not feel I am dealing with a reputable company that stands behind its products.

"I got you Berber"
Had our whole house carpeted in this Shaw carpet in November 2012. I am so very disappointed. It is packing terribly. Only my husband and I, who are senior citizens, live in our house. No other traffic. We were gone for the first 2 months after this carpet was installed. So less than 5 months after installation, it is not holding up well at all. I would not recommend this carpet to anyone.

"Shaw Carpets Like Any Carpet is not Perfect"
While Shaw, like many carpet mills, have a wide range of products. What often happens is the carpet salesperson does not do his job in a professional manner. He usually takes the path of least resistance and sells the consumer her favorite color or feel or look, or fits a low budget, without regard to the carpet's performance. As a result, many cheap carpets end up in living areas that should have had much higher quality carpet for a chance to survive daily living. Sometimes, due to a lack of knowledge, the salesperson never asks the customer what her needs are, but instead allows her to wander around the showroom looking at price tags. Once salespeople start explaining the truth about carpet in general, the less likely carpets will be "oversold" and performance expectations of cheaper carpets will not be too great. When the consumer has a claim these days, she had better have receipts from her professional carpet cleaner, and hope that her carpet was installed according to CR105. Otherwise the carpet mill is not even going to consider your claim. If you don't Know Carpet, Know Your Carpet Dealer.

Review:
"The worst carpet."
I agree with almost all the posts. We bought a new home. We had upgraded the carpet and had the most expense padding put in. Within 4 months the carpet looked horrible! We pulled it all up and replaced everything ourselves. Never again with Shaw.

"Carpet bubbling"
4 years go we noticed our carpet bubbling and crushing and the nap was flat even after vacuuming. We spent a small fortune in upgrading pad and this carpet is in our bedroom and sitting room. The installer came back and pulled the carpet tight again. But we are back to square one again. Shaw is a rip off. Never again.

"Hard to believe"
The string of 20+ 1-star reviews is amusing and really, impossible to believe. I am about to buy Shaw carpet and they are clearly a quality carpet maker.

"Worst carpet"
Worst carpet ever purchased. Called carpet store after six months. It looked worse than the 10 year carpet I replaced. Would love to sue.

"Shaw carpet is the worst"
Shaw carpet is the worst I have ever seen. Carpet was 1 year old, was running the vacuum over the carpeting when all of a sudden several carpet threads unraveled and got caught in the vacuum.About 6 months later the same thing happened. The carpet was supposed to be stain resistant and snag proof,BULL Could not find receipt and called installer to see if they had it,of course they couldn't. So I guess this senior citizen on a fixed income is screwed.

"Carpet Falling Apart"
Have had the carpet in for just under 3 years. We called Lowes because we had an area that was "bubbling". They came out to re-stretch the carpet (for a fee). When he did, the carpet literally started pulling apart. Now we have loose, wrinkled carpet throughout the house. Shaw says the warranty is void because we did not have the carpet professionally cleaned within 2 years. Like THIS would have kept the carpet together!
