"Shaw Carpet, Never again!"
We purchased Shaw White Shag for our living room 1 year ago. In the
hallway its flattened out bad, its like we are walking on a hard floor.
Just me and my wife walk on it! Someone came out from Shaw and said its
oil from or feet, I said no, we ware socks, this carpet is not dirty! So
we got it clean like he said, and still flat. Its garbage carpet, and I
wouldn't recommend anyone purchasing Shaw carpet. And their warranty is
a joke, ours is suppose to have a life time! But of course no one will
call back or fix the problem!

"very disappointed"
Shaw carpet didn't hold up and Bob Wagner's Carpet Mill treated me badly
when I asked for refund. Do not buy Shaw carpet and I don't recommend
Bob Wagner's.

"Rows across the width of Brand New Shaw carpet"
Very disappointed. Two days after the Shaw-My Dream II carpet was
installed, I saw parallel rows or lines one inch apart running across
the width of the carpet! The entire carpet...living room, dining room,
halls and bedroom! It looks as if it's a striped carpet! I contacted
installer who promptly returned, took pictures and contacted Shaw. Shaw
asked for a sample of the carpet! Still waiting on an answer from Shaw.
The display samples I choose the carpet from showed no pattern or lines!
This is an expensive Anso, softbac, stain and wear resistant, with 5
star warranties...top quality carpet, (or so I thought)...or s very
expensive lesson if Shaw doesn't stand behind its product. I will post
Shaws response! The color is lovely and it is very soft! But I didn't
pick a carpet with rows of lines!

"Junk Carpet Do not buy"
This carpet is about 2.5-3 years old and when I central vac it I fill up the bucket with fibers it is about 750 square feet. The representative said that this carpet will do that it looks like 30 year old carpet also but they call it corn rowing said the carpet is fine and will not stand be hide there carpet. All I have to say don't buy there junk carpet. We are selling this house and we are replacing at our cost. I do not want the people to buy a 600,000.00 house with bad carpet.

"Shaw BERBER Carpet Unravelling"
We bought our Shaw Berber Carpet, Style Name -Revolution, Color-00111 Ivory Bisque from a very reputable dealer for a rental unit. The dealer assured us it was great for heavy wear and long lasting, giving us a 5-year Quality Assurance and 5-year Stain Resistance Warranty. Note: Our tenants have two teenage girls and a very docile dog. The mother has very successful professional cleaning company. It?s how we know her. They are very clean and fastidious.
In less than 9 months, the carpet began unraveling, pulling in straight lines, during vacuuming at the seams and in the various areas of the carpet. Then, it became even worse after one carpet shampooing.
After we complained, the dealer had the Shaw area representative come out. He first said it was the dog. Old dog, doesn?t dig, and spends the working hours in a cage. The Shaw representative, using his moisture sensor, also tried to imply the rug was damp from shampooing, or dog urine. NO/NO. SHAW claims it is the tenants fault. WE REJECT THEIR ASSESSMENT.
Just on this website, we found several similar problems with SHAW BERBER unraveling. We want everyone to know we are VERY DISAPPOINTED and recommend you NEVER buy carpet from SHAW without an IRON-CLAD GUARANTEE.

"Shaw Carpet Problem"
From Home Depot's Expo (now closed) we bought a Shaw carpet for our
family room. My wife usually irons while watching tv - we discovered
that the steam and water than drips from an electric iron made permanent
color change to the carpet fibers. We were stiff armed by all involved -
Expo, Home Depot, Shaw Industries, Better Business Bureau. Fairfax
County (va) Consumer Protection unit was helpful and supportive, but
Shaw stiff-armed them too. Buyer Beware of Shaw Industries, a company
owned by Warren Buffett.

"My Carpet Review"
I have owned my carpet for two years this August. I love its durability and comfort. My children have spilled multiple juices and foods on it but the fabric allows an easy clean up. They love to lay on the carpet while doing school work and sometimes even fall asleep on it. I love walking on the carpet with my bare feet and even our dog seems to love it. I have yet had to repair or replace my carpet. I would definitely buy the same brand again and I have recommended it to many of my family and friends.

"Not Gooood"
We built our home and moved in on
May 2, 2002. Put Shaw carpet in, thinking it was the best brand and quality for the money. It lasted less than 7 years and began pulling up on the edges and rippling along the walkways. It is so disappointing on so many levels and will never use it again.

"Great area rug from Shaw Concepts"
I have had this carpet since I moved into my apartment, about five years. It is a great rug that does not show dirt or stains, though I do keep it clean. The edges have not frayed much at all even with constant wear from my door running it over and cat clawing at it. The colors have not faded and it still looks basically brand new. I would recommend this carpet and others by Shaw Concepts as they are inexpensive and easy to manage. You can use any vacuum and any cleaners aside from bleach. This carpet has compressed a bit over time and become harder, but I am sure a good beating and shaking would fix some of that. It is quite normal for this to happen with any carpeting. Heavy furniture and bedposts have not damaged it in any way and the softness has not decreased much. Overall I hardly need to think about it. A good quality for any carpet to have. I am sure it will last me another five years or more.
