"Matting, Dont buy"
To whom it may concern,
I had a professional installer install the cashmere IV on March 15, 2020. By November 2, 2020 it showed significant matting. I live alone in a condominium and vaccuum regularly.

"Junk"
Carpet is showing wear after only 2 months. Shaw will not stand behind it. Saying daily vacuuming is required for warranty. It started showing wear in the first few weeks and has now only been installed barely 2 months and we never wear our shoes in the house and neither does the very little company we get

"Horrible! Run from All Shaw products."
Run! Do NOT purchase Home Depot's Life Proof carpet. Do NOT but Shaw!
They do not back their products nor even try to work with you.
Worst carpet and service ever. Our carpet is 4 months old, looks 10 years. Two extremely Immaculate people live here.
Carpet is junk and Shaw is a sham!

"Matted"
Wish I had done my homework and did some research. Thought Shaw was a reputable carpet so went with it. Installer put in a top grade pad and we paid more than the carpet is worth, considering how it has matted. This was installed October 2015. Within two years the twist of the fibers have a look of old carpet. There is only two adults and no animals in our home. Love the color, that is about all. We definitely would not buy this again.

"Looks defective and is worn after 3 1/2 years"
OMG! Should have done my research about Shaw and their carpeting before I made the purchase. The carpet has parallel raised creases in the carpet to included the stairs and is already matted/worn. There are only 2 adults and a dog living in the house. The carpet was appropriately stretched when it was laid, yet now it is loose and needs to be re-stretched. After 3 1/2 years this carpet looks worse that the 25+ year old carpeting that it replaced. The company that installed the carpet will be contacting the Shaw rep to come to look at our carpet. The installer voiced complaints of Shaw saying they won't take responsibility. Shame on the installer if he knew that before he installed my carpet.
Can't wait to meet with the Shaw rep. I'll meditate before his/her arrival.

"The poorest quality carpet in the country"
Immediately after installation of the carpet particles from the carpet backing started to come to the surface. After it was replaced with a new one particles started coming out again. We are very dissatisfied with this company.

"Pigment Issues"
In 2015 Shaw carpeting was installed throughout our home. The carpeting was advertised as having a lifetime color retention guarantee. Approximately three months after installation small yellow spots began to appear in random areas. The spots would continue to lighten until the color was completely bleached. As of this date, ten spots have shown up. Close inspection showed that the spots consisted of individual strands that were colorless from top to bottom. Strands next to the discolored strands were completely fine. Substances spilled on the carpet would have affected some strands completely and some partially. This is not the case here. Our installer was contacted and they contacted Shaw. Shaw sent a representative to inspect the carpet. Their response was that the carpet warranty was not applicable because, "this issue is not a known defect". Further, the carpet is advertised as "will not show wear". The carpet already shows significant wear throughout a large area.

"Matted"
Thought we were buying a good grade carpet four years ago. It started matting within the first year. Still looks good under the furniture! Wish I had done more research before buying this.

"Don't honor their life-time warranty never to wrinkle"
Shaw carpet has a life-time warranty never to wrinkle but, in my case, they were not willing to honor their warranty. I had purchased an upgraded quality but the carpet throughout the whole house began to wrinkle a year after it was installed (installer's workmanship warranty is 1 year so they wouldn't help either). The hallway is so badly wrinkled that it is folded upward and presents a tripping hazard. A Shaw rep came out to my home and took a sample for their lab but they decided not to honor the warranty even though they learned that I have difficulty walking due to a disability. Even my safety wasn't enough to twig their conscience. I've been embarrassed to have people over because every room in the house and the stairs are so very badly wrinkled. I can't afford to have the whole house redone.
